Schools with no essay

<p>I was looking to find more schools with no essay to apply to as safety schools</p>

<p>The only schools I know about as of right now are on the common app
Trinity College
Fordham
Northeastern (which is one of my top schools)
Washington U in St. Louis
U of Miami </p>

<p>Are there other common app schools or non-common app schools with no essay offered?</p>

<p>Well, I doubt Northeastern, Trinity, WashU could be considered “safeties” by any means. Most state schools don’t have essays. Have you looked at those?</p>

<p>not safeties in the traditional sense just something to supplement my short list of schools. Northeastern is actually probably top 5 on my list. I am applying to uw madison and uva as well, but both schools have essays. U of maryland is also on my list so I will check to see if they have an essay</p>

Pretty much all Canadian universities (McGill, UToronto, UBC, etc.)</p>

<p>Although you want to keep in mind it’s probably in your best interest to answer “optional” essays… it can look pretty bad if you don’t…</p>

<p>Harvard’s essay is also “optional,” but I’m sure it’s mandatory if you want to get accepted.</p>

<p>Lots of moderately selective state universities admit by course work and stats only.</p>

<p>Obviously, open admission community colleges fulfills this criterion trivially.</p>

<p>“Optional” essays are only really optional if the college has stated automatic admission criteria based on stats that you qualify for.</p>
