I absolutely love science, especially biology, and have been taking advanced math and science classes for a while. I have read science oriented books in my free time, and enjoy talking to my teachers about topics covered in class. I’m a rising sophomore, and I want to do more. I’ve been looking for science extracurriculars I could take part in, but aside from summer programs (which I’ll definitely be looking into when the time comes) and research opportunities (also something I’d be interested in), I can’t find much. Does anyone know of any science ECs I could participate in during the school year? I am 15 now, I’ll turn 16 in December, I live the the San Francisco bay area. Thanks for the help.
Your school might have fun things such as Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, Biology/Math/Chemistry/Physics/Linguistics/Astronomy&Astrophysics Olympiads, Science National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Biology/Math/Chemistry/Physics/Linguistics/Astronomy&Astrophysics clubs, a medicine club, Quiz Bowl, Math Bowl, or iGEM. If you can’t find the club, create the club!
