<p>I think this is one of the most underrated genre in lit. You need a lot of imagination and desciption in order to write a good sci fi book. </p>

<p>Ender's Game :) Stereotypical smart-kid book, but it really is fantastic.
Um, also most of Vonnegut's stuff, Hitchhiker's. Lesser known stuff: A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller, and Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Both are major dystopian novels and they're fantastic.</p>
