Science GPA question

Hey! I'm transferring universities and my molecular and cellular biology class that I took didn't transfer over as biology. This is actually good because I got a C in bio (my lowest grade so far in anything) and I can retake biology there and get an A in it. Anyway, my biology transferred over as a "Natural Science" class. Do I have to count this into my science GPA? Because it hurts me a lot (I got a C both semesters), I don't want to have to count it. I did really good in chem, calc, and I'm doing great in orgo this semester, and it will significantly help out my science GPA if I don't have to count it and can just count the biology that I retake, plus physics and my upper-level biology classes.

So, do I have to count it into my science GPA? Thanks a lot!

Yes you have to count it - it doesn't matter what it "transfers" over as to your new university. When you enter it on AMCAS, you enter courses separately by the university you took them at, so it gets counted as a bio class since thats what it was when you actually took it.

You are stuck with the C's forever.

BTW, your new school sure has a goofy way of doing things. Molecular and cell biology is not biology? LOL. Absurd.

You have to submit both transcripts so it doesn't really matter what the class is listed as on the new transcript since it'll be labeled as MCB on the old transcript.
