Stanford’s policy for scores is that it requires all SATs and ACTs taken to be taken. However, my SAT history is pretty bad (actual trash). If I were to submit only my ACTs and only the SAT subject tests (via score choice), would Stanford be able to find out? I know that Collegeboard has pretty stringent privacy policies regarding scores so just want to confirm.
The question is not whether or not Stanford will find out, but whether you are being honest in your application. They ask to see all scores – you need to send them all of your scores. If they were to find out (and they could), an acceptance could be rescinded. Not worth the chance.
My son is at Stanford and had the same issue when he applied. He just did much better on the ACT but sent them both. Please send them anyway. If I’ve learned anything about Stanford and I believe its the case with all colleges. Be honest and upfront and it pays off eventually!
