Score Interpretation

Ive read all material on certain school's ACT range and minimun requirements for special programs and all that but i wanted the general opinion

is 31 considered a good score? is it a score that could get an applicant to some top school (non-iv-es except Cornell maybe)???

thanks for replies

lol farah, i got the same score as u nd i was thinking the same thing. i asked my counselor nd she said a 31 is similar to a 2050-2080 on the SATs. if u do it mathematically, a 31 is exactly a 2066.

A 31 is a good score and can get you into any college (not for certain but it can and definitely has in the past).

In fact, looking at collegeboard, I do not see a single school in which a 31 is not in the 25%-75% at least for accepted applicants.

Also, Standardized test scores are only one part of the application; your essays are much more important.

Yeah, a 31 is pretty good. Definitely only one part of the app. From everything I've read GPA is almost always more important...they're a measure of 4 years of work vs. one test.
