Score my SAT essay?

Hello cc, a SAT essay is ready to be graded by anybody who wants to give it a score 1-6.
I was a bit drowsy while I was writing it but I did put some effort into this.

I’ll appreciate any comments.

Prompt: Each new crisis we encounter is an opportunity in disguise.
What are your thoughts on the statement above?

One might describe crisis as an obstacle in life, hindering an individual from obtaining a goal or a dream. However, I disagree with the belief that crisis is an obstacle. Richard from Black Boy and Lieutenant Cross from The Things They Carried illustrate crisis as a fresh, new opportunity. Each new crisis is not a hindrance, but rather a new chance for an individual.

Richard, a young black boy, encountered a crisis when his religious grandmother coerced him to pray for a long duration of time in his room. As a young boy, Richard wanted to go out and let all his energy out but he could not. He eventually realized that he could make a good use of his time while he was locked up in his room. Grabbing a piece of paper and a pencil, Richard began to write a random story. He showed how crisis meant an opportunity.

Unlike Richard, Lieutenant Cross encountered a great crisis at a battlefield. Lt. Cross became so preoccupied by his girlfriend and eventually lost one of his soldiers because Cross was not vigilant over his soldiers. Guilt and penitence fill him and he falls into a great crisis. But inside, he makes up his mind to do a better job at protecting his soldiers so that such mishap does not occur again. Lt. Cross evinced how crisis doesn’t mean an impediment in one’s life but rather an opportunity to start anew.

Thus by the epitomes of Lieutenant Cross and Richard, it can be concluded that crisis one encountered is indeed an opportunity in disguise. Crisis breaks apart one’s world but on e can choose to see the destruction as a new chance to rebuild one’s world and change it for the better.
