What was the answer.......to that stupid question with the shaded square in the triangle...

The square was irrelevant, that's all I remember, you just calculated based on the side lengths of the large triangle.

i mean what was the area of the square, the second question with that figure

Hey i saw a crap load of debate on the prime number. It is 2 because all prime numbers after 2 is odd, otherwise it would be divisible by 2 (thus, not prime). A odd+odd is even, thus divisible by 2 (not prime). 2 is the only even number, and only even+odd = odd. 2+7 threw me off for a while too..

it took me forever to realize that the square was a distraction =.=

yeah i circled that problem because i was like: "AM I MISSING SOMETHING? WHAT IS THIS WITH SQUARE!!"

i think i spent the last 10 minutes i had on math just staring at that problem -_-

the last question for it, tan of <EaC or whatever was just 5/3 or something right?

wait a minute. The second question, it asked for the area of teh shaded area (the square) am i correct? The answer choices were like 10, 10.8, 11........? Any1 remember this?

it asked for something else. i don't remember any of the questions asking ANYTHING about the square.

am i wrong? (PLEASE DON'T BE .....;_; )

btw the answer i put for that question was 10.8 i believe

Hmmmmmmmm im pretty sure it was the square (that was teh shaded area right?) since i spent a good 5 minutes on it.......
The first question asked for slope, and third asked for tan. I'm almost certain the middle asked for perimeter or area of the square (now that i think about it, i think it was perimeter)

OH YEAHH 13.8 WAS MY ANSWER THEN JUST KIDDINGG. (legs of 3 and 5 and hypotenuse of 34^.5)

it asked for the perimeter of the triangle. i'm pretty sure, conidering how everyone else also said the square was a distractor. iderno though. anyone else?

Yes, it asked the perimeter of the triangle, not the area of the square.

I'm 85% sure there was nothing asked about the square's area.

eh thats understandable, since i sat there thinking that this was impossibe, there was no way to figure out the area/perimeter of the square. Damnit, 1 wrong. I hope i still get a 35 on math or 34

o are u sure AdamJaz i dont remember.. wat was the perimeter of the triangle,

Square had no impact on the problem whatsoever.
Yes it was 3, 5, root 34

Yeah, it was square root of 34, i remember that cuz i used the P theory or whatever.

Does anyone remember the answer to the question that had like

A. No Change
B. around the area.
C. about the area.
d. about.

It was something like that haha

yeah, i do! It was "which of these would be the LEAST acceptable" and i think it was "c. about the area"

wdrmhbs-the question asked "which of the following would NOT be appropriate, and I'm pretty sure I said d.about, anyone else agree?

DJ - you can wander "about the area," but you cannot wander "about." right?

i think i put c about the area, but i would have to read the whole sentence.
