Score Predictions!

most colleges only look at composite.
some LACS look at only english and math scores

a little off topic but you dont happen to go to camarillo high school do you?

I believe that they acknowledge all of the aspects that formulate the composite score.

When will we receive our scores?

earliest is april 26 i think

Aren’t they sent by mail?

That’s unfortunate that we cannot access them online.

They can be accessed online--actstudent.org

They said they will be sent between April 26-June 8, releasing new scores every wednesday and friday

E- probably 7 wrong but i think i did well on this section
M- simply killed me. bet 10~11 wrong
R- the first passage was SO boring!!! think 8 - 9 wrong
S- did okay. probably (and hopely) 7 wrong

W- it was very similar to last test. hmmm i know i didnt completely blow off. think i will get so-so score…

overall: between 23 to 26, i hope… if it is lower, well i wont be surprised…

better look for colleges that arent so tough on standardized scores LOL

E -1
m -4?
R -3
s -7

^^^Thanks for the clarification.

haha unrelated to all others but no FutureENTSurgeon, they’re my rival school. I go to Newbury Park High School.

English: 34 It felt easy enough (writing section included)
Math: 35 A few problems confused me, but I got my way through them
Reading: 29 Not too sure about this one. I tried to read very carefully
Science: 30 A killer

That brings my composite score to a 32.

@blackpanther- If those missed question numbers turn out to be true you should get much higher than a 23, about in 28-30 range.

if you think you missed so few
then you did not get between a 23 and 26. you got between a 26 or 28 ish.

what do you guys think i will get if i miss

English: 0-2
Math: 0-3
Science: 1-3
Reading: 0-3

obviously 0 wrong will be 36, but i’m new to the ACTs and i don’t know how many scaled points 2 or 3 raw points will drop.

Thanks!

^The worst you’d get with those is a 34.

oh, that’s awesome.

I don’t mean to be one of those CC snobs like on the SAT forums. This was actually my first try at the ACTs (barely any practice) after doing well but not great on two SATs. I guess I’m just one of those people who the ACT works a lot better for.

Let’s hope i was right with my predictions so i don’t seem like an @$$.

@LightSource and Lovelytexan,

that would be wonderful if it really happens! :D

now i see the possibility of me getting around 30-32 with lots of practice.

Goodness, you guys sound very confident. :)

My scores feel like the following:

E: 23-26. I felt really confident, but I know there are a few that I missed. Maybe a lot more than I think. (that’s what always happened in the practice book.)

M: 20-23. It really hurt me. I was crunched on time and very stressed out. Math is my weakest. I didn’t prepare well at all.

R: 18-22. It was hard, and I consider myself a good reader. I didn’t have enough time, so I just had to guess on a few. (missed about 10-15 total, probably.)

S: 16-18. Yeah. It killed me. No joke.

What should I expect?
E- 2-4
M- 0-2
R- 3-5
S- 4-6
Thanks!

Assuming E: -3 M: -1 R: -4 S: -5

E: 33
M: 35
R: 32
S: 30

Composite with those: 32.5, so a 33. This is just an estimate though.

Thanks! I’ll be happy with that. But with curves it could be more or less correct?
