Score Reports, Early Action, and the Common App

So, I have taken the SAT once and am retaking in October. The scores will be available on October 28.

Some of the schools I am applying to are Early Action, with a deadline on Nov. 1. I don't know what I should do regarding Score Reports and my Common App.

Here is my plan: For schools that require all scores to be sent, I will send my current score report now. That way, if my scores do not improve I do not have to send my new score report, and if they do improve I can just update the colleges. For schools that allow score choice, I will just wait until after the October test to send my test scores.

Regarding the Early Action colleges, if my scores do not improve, I will submit my Common App and use Score Choice to send my Score Reports (and hide my October test) on Oct. 28. If my scores do improve, I will update my Common App and submit it and send my Score Report (with the October test) on Oct. 28.

What is your opinion of this? Am I cutting it too close to the Nov. 1 deadline? Will my Score reporting plan work?

I’d call the schools you’d want to attend first and see what they recommend.
For example Purdue University told me to send my application first and then they’ll put it on hold till they receive my SAT scores.
