Scores 200+ points better from the first or second time

gcards1: Nice job! Did you do anything to go up 170 points in the Writing section?

Thanks. I actually just used the blue book since I wasn't testing well (I did use a vocab list for my final cr jump). I didn't prepare for the writing because I figured I couldn't do worse and I wanted to do much better in math and cr. I was pleasantly surprised and had wished I had tried harder on the essay. Same for my final test with a 740, but same raw score.

hey how
many times can one retake the sat???? any idea???

as many times as you want...although some say you shouldn't take it more than 3 times

1st time: 2070(650/760/660/8)
2nd time: 2340(760/800/780/10)

1st time, wasted about $2000 on useless books/preps.

2nd time used the Blue Book and the Online Course. The Question/Answer analysis is a freaking godsend.

I didn't exactly study any vocab words =X Just make sure you know the basic grammar rules like parallelism and such. For me, practice really made more of a difference than memorizing vocab words and stuff. That, and limit careless errors.
