Scores for Top tier unis - sufficient ????

Hi,

My name is Ali. I am an international applicant from Morocco. I was wondering if my scores were good enough to get into top notch universities like Columbia and Harvard
SAT 1 : 2060 ( 660 CR, 750 M) THIS IS NOT SUPERSCORE
SAT 2s : 780 M2, 770 BiologyEcologic, 790 Physics, 770 Chemistry
Toefl : 113
AP : I will pass 4 APs at the end of the year, in May. I stipulated it in my application.

Some informations that i should add (I guess) are the following one :

  • I am not applying for financial aid.
  • I passed the SAT 1 only twice ( :’( ), My counselor will precise it in the letter
  • I have a cumulative “GPA” of 16 out of 20 (French system) which is the equivalent of 4 GPA in the american system
Tell me if you need any additional information!

You are going to get a bunch of different answers here, and most of them are going to be wrong. Standards for internationals vary widely depending on both the schools and especially the region of the world you are coming from.

Your SAT1 scores would be considered low for those schools if you were a domestic applicant. However, standards are going to be different based on your country of origin. If you know the history of other Moroccan applicants to the Ivies, you’d have a better idea.

The rest of your stats (GPA, TOEFL, SAT2s) look fine and not requiring financial aid is going to help as well. Your application itself (essays, recommendations, etc.) is very important at these schools.
