<p>Hey guys, i took the sat for the first time in Nov., and got 2000, then again in Dec with 2100, is it possible to improve by at least another 150 to improve200 pts by the Jan. Test, what can i do during winter break? My weakness rightnow is the essay, i can't get my ideas down fast enough and endup with a 5 or 6. I did get a perfect mc fort he first ti though. My math and cr are avg. Around 680. How can break at least r2250? Thanks CC=)</p>

<p>For sure! I only too the SAT once, but I bumped my SAT from the PSAT from 217 to 2330. What helped me for the essay was having a few pre-prepared examples I already had thought through and could write about quickly, a lot of the prompts are about very similar themes. Just keep working and taking practice tests!</p>
<p>thanks, does anyone suggest spending time to brainstorm or should u just start writing at soon as he says go. I spent like almost 6-7 minutes brainstorming and never got a chance to write down my second example.</p>
<p>I always start writing right away and plan my next example as I write my first. I would say to use the rule of 3 (3 examples)- and make sure they come from different areas (i.e. history, literature, politics, etc.)</p>
