Just to make sure no one makes no more of "when will scores come out" threads.

traditionally, do standby testers receive scores on the same day? or will that be weeks later?:)

This is for the OCT 23rd ACT. right?

Standby I heard were 4 weeks from test date rather than 2.

Syedd: Yes.

is it free to view online?

yes it is.

how often do scores come out the first “potential” day?

Will your score be delayed if you took the writing test? I think so, though I’m not sure.

@Monkzilla - No, your writing score comes out separately.

Thank you.

is this same with international? and is your COMPOSITE including writing or without? do colleges see your scores as
composite 33 ,
Writing score 8,

or just Composite score with writing of like 32?

Your composite is just that, no writing. You don’t get a composite score with writing. Writing is reported below all the component scores, same size, as “combined English/Writing” then Writing score alone underneath. nothing to make it stand out. If you wanted to recalculate your composite, must be done by you, replacing your English score with your English/Writing score.

Not sure how colleges see it who request it, seem to all say they only want you to have taken it and that they don’t use it. dd is an excellent test taker and writer but thought the writing prompts were inane on SAT/ACT and didn’t do well on them…however won an essay scholarship competition with full tuition prize so it definitely didn’t affect her admission or her scholarship!

When ds took ACT in June with writing, nothing until online posting 3 weeks later. When he took ACT in September without writing, mailed results in hand well before they were posted online at 3 weeks. I kept thinking something was wrong because they weren’t online but then talked to others who also got early mailed results. Hoping for the same from 10/23 test date

There really isn’t a concrete way to tell when it will come out. They SAY the writing takes longer, but both times I have taken it I got my writing with my composite. Last time I took it, in February, I got my results the thursday after I took it (5days later. Writing and all)

But my test center was delayed a week.

It just proves that it really doesn’t take that long to grade them. College Board is 100X worse, though

Can you please predict my ACT oct scores? After perusing the threads discussing the test I have a general consensus of what questions I missed. Based upon these estimations, what would I have scored on the ACT?

Math -8 or -9
Reading -4
English -4 or -5
Science -8-10
Essay=8

Thank you.

Does anyone know why scores come out on a Tuesday rather than on a Monday like they normally do?

@ Swgyswgy Thanks for not making a new thread for that.

Scores:

Math: 28-29
Reading: 32-33
English: 31-32
Science: 26-28

Are you sure this is correct? They usually come out on Monday?

@Albert33: If you live in PST or MST time zones, it comes out on Monday night, technically.

Math -8 or -9 = 30
Reading -4 = 33
English -4 or -5 = 33
Science -8-10 = 28
Essay=8
Composite = 31, or 30.5 (same as 31) since if your essay is 8, it might drag down your english score.

good luck

Wayy too optimistic ^
