What do they look at. Is it only GPA and SAT/ACT and compute in their calculator? Do they look at EC's, do reccomendations? look at application essay?

they look at gpa and sat. they dont require ec's or essays of any sort.

they look at state and school also, right? A 2.7 GPA can be eqiuvelent to a 3.5 at another school.

not that im aware of. all gpa is the same unless you take honors which is weighted.

I understand that but doesn't a school hold higher value, like the California API Rankings. You can't say an english class is the same as another schools.

CP English and AP English are all looked the same. Does not matter which school you took it from. I went to a Top 10 Highschool in California. I am pretty sure the classes are harder then a lot of highschools but that doesn't mean anything for college.

What if I go to a california distinguished school? My school is being given that tomorrow and it'll last 4 years. Top 5% of public schools in Cali get it i believe.

Sorry, but SDSU only looks at gpa and sat scores. They don't care about anything else. They don't care how good your school is, or how hard your classes were. If you have the grades your in, if you don't....tough luck.

my hs was a california distinguished school, that doesn't mean **** to colleges.

state schools only look at college examination test scores such as SATs and ACTs, and GPA

I have no idea about school rankings, but it may be a possibility because i heard the UCs also look at school rankings
