Does anyone know if they are offering early notification in January too because I thought I had an "exceptional high school record" but it still says that my application is pending.
I don't know, but I am waiting too; however, I applied as a transfer student/upped division. I have the same status as you. I am hoping for the best.

Have any transfers submitted their supplemental application?

I am an upper division transfer as well and just saved my supplemental application today. Are we supposed to actually submit it? Or just make sure it is fully done by January 22nd?

I got accepted 12/17.

Im hoping I get in since is the only school I applied. I was looking at the housing options thinking of either the university towers or the chapultepec(chappy) dorms. Anybody have a heads up from anybody on how these or any other dorms are like. Outside of what they put on the school's website..????

oh and by the way i applied out of high school in '07 didnt get accepted GPA 2.80ish =/

Hi Jaycasa31,

I'm from mtsac, too!!!

GPA: 3.48
Major: Communicative Disorders.

I applied to SDSU for Fall '09, as my top choice. I applied to CSULB, CSUF, CSUN, AND CSULA (already got accepted to the LA one, but it's my last choice on the list). I have a 3.48 G.P.A. and will have 64 units done by the end of the spring semester.

Oh Hey GrassyMeadow!

What makes you pick SDSU as your first pick over the rest of the schools that you applied?

SDSU has a great Speech, Language, and Hearing Science program and it's rated as one of California's top schools with this program. The other schools are okay. If I don't get accepted to SDSU or change my mind, I'm most likely going to Long Beach or Northridge.

I still haven't heard from SDSU. Did you? My classmate in poli sci just got accepted the week after she submitted her supplemental application.

Transfer Student with a couple questions and wanted to see if anyone could help...

Applied Very early maybe like the 1st week

So I have a 2.84 overall GPA and am going to have a total of 77 transferable units by the end of this spring

I thought for sure I wasnt going to get in after one of my friends (transfer student) with a 3.1 got rejected, but last night I was looking at the "common data set" for SDSU for the 07/08 year and it gave a bunch of stats about the admissions n all that....it said roughtly 11,000 transfers applied and over 8,000 were accepted, that was an average of 76%...Are my chances really that good? is it only really hard for freshman to get in? Also I realize there are pre reqs to get into certain majors, I am going business so there is a total of around 6 prereqs (econ, accntg, calc, stats, ect...) I am going to have 4 of those completed by the end of spring (are those going to make a difference for admittance?).

Anything will help,

Thank you

Bobp123, you still have a chance, but what you have to do is talk to the school. If you show major interest, you might be able to sway opinions. I've went in to talk to counselors and admissions several times. I do this will all my colleges. Show them that you want it. You're friend was rejected this year? If so, an early letter means that some requirement was not fulfilled. I was screwed before, because I was stupid not to talk to a counselor about classes that I need. In high school, I got rejected from SDSU because I didn't have enough art credits. Last year, I got rejected from CP Pomona because I didn't have my COMM done on time. Get in their faces and ask questions.

InfinityWOLF,

Thank you for the reply...Ok I see what you are saying...I live in San Francisco so what should I do? since I cant simpy "walk in there" should I call, send emails, letters???? My friend got denied last year he (he didnt take any of the prereqs for my same major (econ, accntg, stats, calc, ect...). Basically the question is how can I show them I want it if I live nothing short of a plane ride over there? thank you.

I got accepted on 2/16 with a 2.67 gpa & my SAT was 870

=]

lopez_1165 are you serious?

what major are you applying for?

let me know asap!!!!!!

I was told me with a 2.84 would not get in due to min. gpa requirements...

thank you

Bobp123,

I think Lopez is a freshmen and a SD local. I know it may sound unfair, but SDSU accepts A LOT of in the area applicants, as long as they complete their requirements and so forth. I'm NOT a local, I actually live in the Inland Empire. I still need to try to maintain the requirement GPA or above for the major. And, honestly, the person who you spoke with on the phone might just be a part student employee at the admissions office, so sometimes they may bull***** a little with perspective students. If you don't hear anything from SDSU within the month of March, then call again and speak with supervisor. Hope that helps. GOOD LUCK!

Still waiting for my application status to be updated. FIVE MORE DAYS!!!

Ohh yes I see, I just noticed he said SAT....yes most likely a freshman...that is pretty amazing to get into sdsu as a freshman with a 2.67 gpa...I read that if you meet all requirements then you can be put on the waiting list...I wonder if I still have a chance...I was also hoping that the person I spoke with didnt fully know what they were talking about...hopefully they didnt...

anyways thanks for the reply grassymeadow

I got rejected even though sdsu was suppose to be my safety school. The thing is that I sent them my first set of SAT score, I retook it again in DEC and had an increase of 110pts. but because of the numbers of school I was applying couldn't afford to send the new and improve score to sdsu. Is there any way I can appeal to them, or contact them about the new sat score or is it a done deal.
