My daughter’s CSU GPA is 3.30. Her SAT 1140, ACT comp 25. We live in the local area. She is applying to the Graphic Design major. Can anyone tell me her chances? Does anyone know the EI and last year’s admission rates for the Graphic Design major?

There is no specific EI for each major at SDSU. Rule of thumb is 4100+ for SAT and 1000+ for ACT. For local applicants, I have seen high 3900+ and 950+ acceptances. Graphic design had a 25% acceptance rate last year. 100 accepted out of 403 applicants.
Based on her stats, SDSU is possible but it will be a tough admit.
Good luck to her and make sure she has several backup schools.
