@Cat420 For SDSU, you can appeal if waitlisted but it is on a case by case basis and you need new and compelling information that was not available at the time of application.
Today my D received an email invite to Explore SDSU 3/17 event. She’s still waiting to hear if she’s admitted. Her portal shows Admission Status: Pending, Admission Status Date: Dec 1
if you don’t get that email does it mean you will be rejected?
@caligirl24 i think so unfortunately
@caligirl24 no i don’t think so it’s just an advertising email most likely
@Caligirl24 My D just clarified that the email she got was in response to her question about the open house and the honors college. So it isn’t anything to be on the lookout for. Here’s the RSVP link if you or anyone want to attend: http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/explore/rsvp/index.html
thank you
What were the dates in the past where applicants started to get admitted??
@turtletime After my D got the portal message that she had to fix something on her application, I called back to check that SDSU got the corrections. They then informed me that she needed to update it further to add all of her Fall semester senior grades–5 A’s and a B. I’m currently on the phone with SDSU Admissions to make sure that they’ve received the update–on hold for 42+ minutes. I’ve been disconnected 2X. Maybe her EI (4460) is close to the cut-off for Biology?
@pekkla have a friend going through something similar, got an email they info missing so they went through the process and fixed it then called them to confirm everything was good and they said it was then got another email that said they were missing something tried to call them but couldn’t get through
@rocknix Yeah, it’s stressful for my D b/c she’s worried that she screwed up her CSU application, yet we double-checked everything and she already got acceptance from CPP. Makes no sense.
would a 4300 EI be below average for biology in sdsu?
@pekkla have you had any luck? I will have my son call when he gets home to check to see if his is officially fixed since tomorrow is the last day. He did get a second email yesterday but it was only a reminder to fix it. So now I’m paranoid lol.
My son received an email as well saying he had incomplete information on his application. He took sign language I, II, III, IV at a local community college, which was entered in the Cal state application. For some reason it shows that he hasn’t met the requirement for foreign language. He entered all the information again as requested via the incomplete application link within the portal. All the information is entered, but when he clicks “save” it goes to a broken page with the following error: Not Found
The requested URL /pls/webapp/incomplete.submitanddone was not found.
He called the admissions office and can’t get through (either busy or disconnects), and sent them email, no response. He entered the information a few days ago and received a reminder email to complete mission information.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
@Bean981 I’m having trouble getting through. I waited for 1 1/2 hours, then was disconnected. I called back and busy signal. Since they told my D the last day to fix stuff was 2/28, I guess they’re getting a lot of last minute calls.
@MaaaMaaa94 We’re having the same problem. My D had to enter all her Fall senior grades in section 2 of the page found in her portal and when she hit “save” it still showed “error.” So I’ve been trying to get through to SDSU all morning. Still busy, hung up on me again, etc.
@pekkla - I want to believe they are aware of the issue. My guess is the updates are saved and they will receive them, but it’s a little concerning since they sent the email reminder yesterday. Fingers crossed!
ok-I finally got through, and the problem was the way my D’s freshman year English class was worded. They didn’t like the name of her freshman English class and gave us a different name to use. They didn’t even need her senior grades Is this a red flag for a disorganized or maybe slightly anal administration?
I think it has to do with the change of cal state apply. As we haven’t had any issues so far with any of the other colleges. Not sure why SDSU is having issues. Currently on hold with them to verify all is good. He already was accepted to Fullerton. 3 yrs ago there didn’t seem to be this issue when my daughter was applying.
@pekkla Once you entered it correctly, were you able to submit without errors?
