SDSU or UCSD or Anthropology

I'm a transfer student from Northern California that has been recently accepted into SDSU, UCSD, and UCLA for Anthropology. I'm not longer interested in living in LA so UCLA is no longer an option; therefore, I'm between SDSU and UCSD. I understand that UCSD is a more prestigious school as opposed to SDSU, but I've also heard that SDSU is a respected university as well. I'm leaning more toward SDSU (and I feel almost ashamed of this) since its tuition costs are almost exactly half of the tuition at UCSD (It's student loans all the way for me)...and well...SDSU is quite frankly a prettier campus. I was unimpressed with the UCSD campus with its hodgepodge architecture. I know, I should be focusing on the academics of the schools rather than the appearance...but the feel of UCSD just felt so bland. I've also been told by one of my professors that it doesn't necessarily mean that you will get a better education at a UC if you were to attend a UC. Many professors primarily work at the college for the research and that doesn't necessarily make them good teachers.
As a side note, I'm a very focused student so whether a school is a party school or not, it will not influence my decision.
I also absolutely intend on attending graduate school- No question about it. And for graduate school I'd either choose to attend UCSD or UCLA...maybe even Stanford (!!!). I want to be taken seriously in the field and hope to eventually teach at the collegiate level. I've been told that it really only matters where you went to graduate school as opposed to your undergraduate school. If this is true, I'd choose SDSU. IS THIS TRUE? Or am I down right silly for denying UCSD.
Does anybody know anything about the Anthropology department at either school?
I have to make my decision before May 1st! I never thought such a decision would be so darn difficult!

Pros of SDSU:
-Lower tuition cost
-Prettier campus
-Laid back

Pros of UCSD:
-More prestigious (the name)
-Better opportunities? I've also heard that this is bologna.
-That's all I've got...

So SDSU for undergraduate and UCSD for graduate...or UCSD for undergraduate and graduate?

Thread title should read SDSU or UCSD FOR Anthropology. A typo I can’t fix. Arg!

Man IDK how you can pass up UCLA. And you do know its not in LA. It’s in Beverly Hills area. Its in a upscale and very nice area.

Regardless of where you go…it’s not like that school will “make” you. You have to do your part. A degree wont get you anything. It will just qualify you to be considered. You have to do the rest. So its what you make of it regardless of where you go.

So its not like going to a UC over a CSU will guarantee you something better. SDSU is a great school. But it would be tough to pass up UCLA or UCSD over SDSU (education wise) And UCSD campus is amazing. Right on the sea cliffs and they have a very nice mall down the street. SDSU is a nice campus in a lower scale area.

And if you are planning on going to a graduate school at a UC, then doing you undergraduate school at a UC is better. If you are planning on graduate school at UCSD…Sometimes they have programs for their undergraduate students.

But like I said, you will still get a great education at sdsu and many opportunities after graduation.

you pretty much have it all figured out. Whoever said that it doesn’t matter what school you get into, you still have to do your part is absolutely right. Go to SDSU and save your money, it’s so not worth it to go into debt for an undergrad degree because as you said, grad school matters more. So go to SDSU and excel, do your best. SDSU has great opportunities, you just have to seek them out yourself.
