So, I got into SDSU early as an electrical engineer. My UC/CSU GPA is a 4.16 with a 29 ACT score. I got invited to apply for the Honors College as well as a “priority applicant.” Is it worth applying and how would I compete in the selection process? If I got accepted, I don’t have to be committed right? Thanks.
They’re trying to woo you with the best they have. No, you’re not committed even if accepted to the Honors program. My kid is doing the same w/a few colleges that have accepted her.
@aquamarine3016 Incorrect – he attended William and Mary briefly and seems to have been a entitled princeling. Tried a singing/acting career, drugs and other poor choices have landed him in a Chinese prison – and out of dad’s fortune.
Acceptance into the Honors Program does not mean you are committing to it. We’ve known several students who have been accepted, but opted out because they did not want to live in the dorms. It is definitely worth applying. As a parent, I am very impressed with the program and all the resources they have made available to my child.
