SDSU

I’ll be applying this november.
I have a CSU GPA of about 3.7 and my from my SAT practice tests I’ll probably score 1300+ maybe like 1310.
I’m out of state. What do you think my odds are?
Thanks.

SDSU admits by eligibility index and major.

EI= (CSU GPA x 800)+(SAT Math + CR)

You want to aim for an EI of 4100+ for the best chances.

Is 4100 the average EI? And how does being out of state affect it?
Thanks

You also have to be able to pay full fees.
No funding for OOS students.

4100 is an unpublished EI threshold for most majors except for Nursing which is much higher. I have been keeping track of OOS EI’s and many are below this threshold. Since CSU’s are need blind in admissions, OOS applicants are accepted but many will not be able to attend due to no financial aid available. As stated by @“aunt bea”, you will be full pay at $40K/year and the Cal states are asking for a tuition increase this year, so expect higher costs.

.

What do you mean by “need blind”? And are you saying 4100 is average?

Need blind means that admission decisions are not based on your ability to pay so needing or not needing FA is not factored into an acceptance or rejection.

4100 is not average - read the posts above.
