<p>Does anybody have information/opinions about San Diego State University? I'm from New York, so I haven't had the chance to visit it. My main reason for applying is that I absolutely love San Diego. I don't have impressive stats, so I didn't apply to UCSD.</p>

<p>SDSU is considered an impacted state university and an out of service area student would need stats not much lower than those required for admission to UCSD to gain admission there.</p>
<p>It depends on your major. Business, biology, nursing and some other majors are impacted. Class of 2014 (me!!) currently holds the highest overall entering gpa for sdsu at 3.73 i believe. It is getting really competitive, this year might be harder to get in. I think the Weather is nice, and people are friendly. Overall it is a really nice school.</p>
