Searching for Colleges/Universities with Nursing!

Marybee333 - That’s amazing. I do believe that the nursing program is direct entry though since the program is four years long. I think I’m going to attend Plattsburgh instead of Brockport. I’m still awaiting my acceptance packet from Plattsburgh since I checked online and it said I was accepted.

I was accepted to Brockport as a nursing intent. I’m not too sure about Plattsburgh so I will email them.

Ohtacos: If you have a choice of colleges, you might want to check out average snowfall maps before you make a decision, unless you really like winter sports.

Marybee333 - I’ve received confirmation that it is indeed a direct entry program.

“If you applied to the campus listing nursing as you major and are accepted,
you would be accepted directly into the program and would be considered a
Nursing Major. When you receive your acceptance packet from the Admissions
Office, you will receive two acceptance letters. One letter will be
welcoming you to the campus and the other will be from the major you are
accepted into.”

Charlieschm - I don’t mind the snow too much, so it’s going to be a big decision factor. I’ll probably end up attending Plattsburgh out of the two because of it’s direct entry program.

*not going to be

I’m glad you were accepted to an affordable direct entry program. Just read the fine print - some schools have an early deadline to accept a nursing admittance.

Ohtacos - I think the Plattsburgh option is better than Brockport as well. That area of NY while snowy is beautiful and surrounded by beautiful mountains and near Lake Champlain. It is my top choice for SUNY schools and had a 95% NCLEX pass rate recently and only 10k per year for NY residents. I will say a little prayer that you are accepted and can swing the $.

ohtacos, here is a link of schools in New Jersey that offer Nursing degrees. If you are looking for a 4 year school, then search those listed with a Bachelor program:
