SEAS Acceptance Rate?

Hello, im a female applying to SEAS for early decision (specifically comp Sci)
Are there any reported statistics for SEAS ED??

Seems SEAS has a bit lower acceptance than the overall Penn rate. There were a total of 9,143 freshman applications to the Class of 2020 and the class size is 410. Previous total acceptances were reported at 777.

Good luck!

@areyouahuman I don’t know what the ED rate is. I do know that SEAS continues to be interested in getting more women into engineering, but their standards are high. On average, the women don’t have as much engineering / coding background as the boys do, but they tend to be exceptionally strong students. They also have good support for Women in CS.

CS is the most common major in SEAS, and it is very rigorous. The students are all bright, hard working and talented. D really likes to be challenged and for the first time in her life, she is able to be in classes with peers. While is it challenging, the opportunities and benefits are amazing. D has had a research assistantship, a summer internship at a major SF tech company last summer, and has already signed with another company for an internship this coming summer. She is a Junior now and has now sub-matriculated as a graduate student. All of that is fairly typical. I think her experience seems to be typical. All of her friends have fairly similar experiences.
