SEAS Standardized Testing Requirements

I will most likely be applying to SEAS in the future, and I have a few questions. (1) I recently found out that they changed their testing policy! If you take the ACT + writing, no other SAT subject tests are required. However, I think it would be to my advantage to send in 3 or so. I took the World History SAT II (770) just because I took AP World History. I thought it would be good to get to know how the SAT II works. I know I will take Math I or II, so what would be other good tests for SEAS? (2) What is a decent score range on the ACT for SEAS?

All comments are appreciated!

For SEAS you should take Math II and a science - typically physics or chem. I believe this was the previous policy and if it’s not anymore, I still think its a good way to go.

To be competitive, you should have at least a 34 on the ACT. 33 would be ok though.

You should take 1 science SAT II, whichever one you feel most comfortable with.

As far as I know, SEAS only cares about 2 SAT IIs: a math and a science (chem or physics). That’s it. They couldn’t care less for a history exam score.

Would it be imperative that I take a science SAT II? While their admissions “doesn’t require” it if you submit ACT, would it be a make or break anyway? The only reason is that my school’s science system is a little screwed up because they make all students take an “integrated science” course freshmen year (essentially a conglomeration of worthless bits of each science subject). This means that I took biology I as a Sophomore and will take Chem I as a Junior. I wanted to take AP Chem, but they wouldn’t let me self study chem I. I plan to take AP Physics senior year, but then application season would be over. Is Chem I with a little AP chem self-study enough to score a 740+ on chem SAT II?
