Does Duke have any firm line as to what will get you rescinded GPA-wise second semester? <3.0 unweighted? Cs in a class? I can't find any formal policy listed anywhere. Does anyone know? I don't want to be putting myself through unneeded stress. Pass all of your classes? Does anyone know what will make them revoke an admission?

Here's what our acceptance letter says:

"Please dont forget what it took to get you to this point; we fully expect you to maintain high standards of academic performance and personal behavior in and out of school. If there is any change in the information in your application including academic, personal, disciplinary, or legal matters it is essential that you contact me immediately. We do reserve the right to withdraw our offer of admission should your standing in any of these areas change between now and the beginning of our fall term."

I think a few B's are fine. They get worried and call your high school counselor if you have any C's.

On the final grade report, it says counselor must write an explnation for any grades C or lower. To me, it sounds like if you get one C, the'll slap your wrist, but lower or multiple C's might spell some trouble.

So it doesn't even say you have to give them a final high school transcript! It just asks you to notify you if something bad happens to your grades, which no one will.

So the letter doesn't even say that you have to send them a final high school transcript! It just asks you to notify them if your grades drop, which no sane person will.

I was wondering about this as well. I realize I;m being lazy but I think by now I've earned that right.

The final grade report asks the counselor to send two copies of your final transcript

There's a final grade report?

Yes there is. It basically asks the counselor to say if there was a big change in the student's grades and if there was a C or lower, there needs to be an explanation.
