Second semester grades?

how much do second semester grades matter to osu? i called them to ask cuz i was worried (i’m getting about a C or C+ in ap government/politics right now >_<), and the woman was like ‘well, uh, as long as its over a C-?’, but i’m still skeptical. i’ve heard 9186491864391864 different things.
none of my other grades are this low, i’m taking ap bio and regular statistics and getting a’s and b’s, which is usually what i get in my classes.
its not that i’ve been totally slacking off in ap gov, i go in twice a week to go over things with my teacher, as do some of my other classmates, i study, etc.

i’m starting to get REALLY worried.
any help is appreciated!

So long as you were not some borderline case where you were told specifically that you had to keep your grades up, I very much doubt that your acceptance will be rescinded. That doesn't actually happen as often as people think.

my son is going to ohio state next year and got his first "c" this year. i keep threatening him with how he needs to finish strong.is this just senioritis?it is a ap biology class so it's wieghted. please help its driving me crazy i 'm concerned that it will carry over into next year.now his ap cal. grade is down to a c+ also

okay, so i just called them again to make sure, and i said 'lets say i'm getting between a b- and a c+ in an ap class, would that still be okay if i'm getting a's and b's in other classes?"
she goes "....um...no..why would it? "
and i went "well, i'm just making sure, cuz ppl said i should call in case it puts me in trouble or possibly rescinded'
and she was like 'no......'
and then i was like 'uh, okay thanks. hangs up'
she sounded either suspicious, or just mad. idk.
u think i made them suspicious of me? i told them i wanted it to be an anonymous call.

@stressedout1: I think when the lady said "no, why would it matter?", I'm pretty sure she was being truthful. A C is not a big deal at all, as long as your other grades are decent (keep in mind that you're already doing better than many admitted OSU students). I got in (Honors program with full-tuition scholarship) with 2 Cs and several B-s in AP classes. Rescinding acceptances is very, very rare for something as minor as a C in a difficult course. The only time it really happens is if they find out you lied on your application, or if you get suspended or arrested or sued by a Martian. Which, hopefully, should not happen.
