I recently paid my enrollment desposit for the University of Michigan but now have questions regarding my second semester courses.
My current schedule consists of AP English, statistics, anatomy/physiology, yearbook, and art.
I am scheduled to take 4 AP tests. One is English lit. Two is Microeconomics, which was a one semester course that I took first semester. Three, although my stats class isn’t AP, I took it upon my self to prep for the AP stats test on my own. Fourthly, Macroeconomics. At the end of the first semester, my econ teacher said that my micro class would transition to macro. However, due to scheduling conflicts, this has actually resulted in me mostly self-studying for the course with my teacher once in a while giving me a worksheet or something to review. Almost like an online course where you would learn the material and have a guide with you. I don’t know if i will be recieving a grade for this course. I don’t feel like I should. Although, my counselor said that in the mid year report, he mentioned that I was planning to take a AP Macroeconomics course in my second semester. I found out about this today.
Soooo, will I be ok if the AP macroeconomics course does not show up on my final transcript? The last thing I want is to have my application rescinded. Michigan is the school of my dreams. My grades have been good during my senior year. I got a 3.85 UW first semester and I am currently at a 3.8 for this term. Also, I am going to major in economics so I can’t even get out of the class (I believe Econ 101/102) at UMich no matter what score I get on either AP Econ test. Same actually goes for English lit because I’d still have to take first year writing. Is there even a point to these AP tests?
