Second Thoughts about Career Choice?

So for the longest time, I wanted to work in finance/banking,

And my life have been sort of structured around that, I took finance classes, did outside prep, internships, etc.

BUT recently, I am beginning to think I made the wrong career choice,

1) As I get into some of the more advance finance classes, I am struggling horribly, I am can't even understand the fundamental concepts of a lot things we are learning right now.

2) I am beginning to hate my finance internship, I stopped being productive weeks ago. I do just enough not to get fired. The relatively high pay compared with other internships are beginning to lose its glamor. I think I will lose my mind if I see another spreadsheet....

So how do I do know if finance is really right for me? I don't think I can imagine myself doing this stuff for the rest of my life, but then again, I spent so much time already devoted to my personal advancement in the financial field that I don't know what else I can do......

Thoughts? Advices?

You already know it’s wrong for you.

You may just want to look into other aspects of finance. I’m not sure if it’s like other majors but they may have concentrations that you could look into. As for the internship it may just be that particular internship that isn’t challenging/interesting or the work environment is just BLAH. I mean I’m going with a general Computer Science degree and seeing what topics I like and then getting more specialized after graduating. This allows me to get a taste of everything that I can do with it. Then again I’m not sure if a finance major is similar but yea. One other thing you COULD do is switch to undeclared and take some random classes and see what interests you. If you’ve been doing reasonably well in your classes it shouldn’t be a problem to switch back to finance if you want. In the end, it’s your life and you only get one so do something that interests you and you love!
