Second year = better than first?

I am a freshman and am wondering if its true that the second year is a lot better than the first? Right now my first year is so-so so i'm hoping its true! is it?

I dunno, possibly. My second semester of freshman was alot better than the first though, I'll tell ya that. Sophomore year I've been just going through the motions, I guess. My classes are alot harder and I've had too many boy problems to talk about, but I like being in college. The freedom and all is just amazing... I'm definitely anxious to go back, and I get to do so tomorrow so I'm very very ready.

I found sophomore year infinitely better than freshman year, and I enjoyed my Freshman year.

I really like this year better than last. I know what works as far as studying and having fun goes.

For me, Freshman year was good but Sophomore year pretty much sucked! It was when I got into major classes, and I found out that it really wasn't what I wanted to do but I couldn't switch out of the program at that point. Junior year is being pretty cool, though!

It's better in some ways.

Depends, if you go to a military academy it definitely is because you no longer have to put up with any of the rookie BS anymore (i.e. cleaning, yelling, running etc)

I don't think it would be that much better anywhere else though, I mean, you finally know whats going on, but classes and everything gets harder.
Can't say that much though, I have no experience in normal colleges.
