The first high school, I ONLY attended for 9th grade. The current high school I am attending now has been from 10th-12th grade. How would I list them? The current high school first?

Should I check this box: "If you have attended any other secondary schools since ninth grade, including summer schools or enrichment programs hosted on a secondary school campus, check this box:" ?

I did tick the box, but it gives you a shortened version to fill out for that school- just the school name and date attended. I’m not sure which school I should list where. It sounds like it’s telling you to list your first school first (with the longer form), but as I only attended my first school for my freshman year, it doesn’t make sense to do that.

I’d imagine they want full info on the school you’re graduating from, and just notes about dates from any other schools. At least that’s what I did last year to list my online HS where I took an AP.

Okay so, this is how I am trying to tackle this: Under Common App, there is a section on Education. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a field with the name ‘Education Interruption’. Under it, there are many options. The one pertaining to us is ‘did/will change secondary schools’.

Now it asks me to upload a document. Since school hasn’t started yet, I will just upload a document with 3-4 lines of explanation along with a scan of my transfer certificate from my original high school.

Or rather, on second thought… I’ll keep the document ready and won’t upload it until I can talk to my GC.

Tizil7- I saw that too and it just further confused me. I think I will ask my GC whenever I can. I won’t be submitting the earliest app until November anyways. Thanks :)

The Education section contains this prompt: “If you have attended any other secondary schools since ninth grade, including summer schools or enrichment programs hosted on a secondary school campus, check this box.”

Checking the box will open a new section asking for information about other schools attended.
