secondary school report

do we need an official transcript or can we just send a copy?

a copy should do i think, but shouldnt your school be sending it? i. e. the transcript goes along with the secondary school report, so theres no problem regarding the authenticity of the transcript.... my school gave my transcript with the evaluations and secondary school report in a sealed envelope from the guidance dept.

I think it has to be an official transcript; if it's just a copy and not verified by your school and all that, you could have forged it. Not that most people would do this, but I thought all college apps had to have official transcripts just as a general rule.

Does a photocopy of the transcript sent in the school envelope sealed outside and with the principal's signature suffice? My school doesnt send the official transcript as such :(

that is how my school sent the official transcript. it's official as long as over the seal is something saying that you didn't tamper with it - like a principal's signature. my school put a school stamp over the envelope and stuff - it doesn't "send" the transcripts either; just gives them to students in said envelope then students send them. however your school does it is probably fine, as long as YOU are not just making a photocopy of your transcript, putting it in an envelope without any verification, and sending it in. at least, that is my understanding.

Oh. Thats fine. My school didnt send it out either, i.e. I paid postage etc. They gave it to me in a sealed envelope with the school's seal and the principals seal and signature and I posted it.... :)
