I thought that college adcoms don't see AP scores unless I self reported it or I paid/made Collegeboard to send my score report to colleges.

This person I was talking to tells me that if I don't report it, adcoms will assume that I got lower than 3 and will hurt my chances and that even if I don't report it, they'll see it anyway.

Is this true?
Are adcoms secretly looking at our AP scores and basing their judgements on those horrible 3 hours exam that makes to go like "I don't care anymore!" after the first hour!!!?

I BELIEVE if they're taking their time, they will PROBABLY check. But if you've taken 6/7 AP classes and report 5/6, I don't believe they'll check the one you haven't included.

I was under the impressions that AP scores where sent when SAT scores were sent -- all part of the college board report. I may be wrong, but that is how I thought it happened.

drummerdude_07 -- thanks for the correction, I had the wrong impression!

I called the college board this AM and I was told that the score report for the SAT test and the score report for the AP tests were two separate reports (and two separate costs to send them).

All AP tests taken will show on the AP score report (unless they were cancelled at the time of the test) and all SAT tests will show on the SAT score report.

Neither report shows the other type of test. (AP score report does not have SAT scores and SAT score report does not have AP scores).
