Seeking advice: transcripts never received?

Last monday I sent my transcripts to the Office of Admissions and I am concerned that my "To Do" list status has not yet been updated. The admissions office would not confirm whether or not the records were received over the phone, referring to the portal as the only method of confirmation.

I wonder, should I be more patient for their office clerks to process the records and then update the portal site? Yet, though we have just passed a holiday weekend, there remain only 10 days till the deadline for transcripts to be sent. I fear patience may compete with prudence, with my admissions at stake (if, in fact, it really is).

I also wonder if my method of sending them was unorthodox; I sent them myself, in an envelope, to their office rather than having them sent by my schools.

Please chime in, fellow students who have been through the process. Need I worry?

Thanks!

Yeah, you might want to check with them about how you sent the transcripts. I swear there’s some clause about how students shouldn’t even see them.

Either way the office seems to be in a back log about now. Don’t worry about it too much. As long as they were sent by that date it’ll be fine. And they often don’t care if people turn them in a bit later either.

Don’t stress about it. I had my transcripts sent the moment grades came out in early June, and my status didn’t update until a few days ago.

It takes a long them for them to process it, especially online because there aren’t as many people working during the summer.

If you’re worried, just call. But they’re still going to tell you to just chill and wait.
