Seeking Guidance/Opinions

Okay, so my brothers are 3rd year seniors at a UC (took comm. college classes during high school) majoring in business econ.
With the economy as bad as it is (abysmal job opportunities), AND THE FACT THAT ANOTHER YEAR OF COLLEGE WOULD ESSENTIALLY BE FREE (EFC 0, no loans), should they stay another year? and would it even be possible to stay (could double major increase financial aid unit cap?)

oh yeah, they have really subpar GPAs (think under 2.8); they could most definitely use another year to boost it up with an easier second major.

Any opinions/feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a maximum number of units you can take depending on your college I think. Around 240 units at UCSD. So if they’re not over, I guess so. Ask a counselor?

240 is for Engineering majors only. For all other majors, the unit cap is 200.
