Hi guys, I took the SAT in January with a goal of a 2300. I received a 2280 (M - 770, CR - 760, W - 750 (M 71, E 11). I was ecstatic, yet angry that I missed one on the math. Many people told me that 2250 was a threshold after I could stop trying and many said that a 2300 break helps your application a lot more. I decided to take it again yesterday and cancel it if I didn't think it as a 2350+ worthy. Going through the questions, I realized c few things. Firstly, I got two wrong on the math. Secondly, I omitted one on the reading and got one wrong. Besides, and to my surprise, I can't think of or find any other questions in the posts on CC that I got wrong. Do you guys think I should keep it or cancel it? I have to decide ASAP since I only have till Wednesday and I'm setting Monday night as my final decision day.
P.S. As you may have heard, the essay topic sucked so my essay was a 8ish at best.

im actually in a similar situation. I got a 2240 on the sat 770-math 740-cr 730-wr. When I first got out of the testing center i was confident that i got everything right for math. However, when i read through the math thread i found out that i got 1 wrong again. For critical reading i got between 2-4 wrong. Then for writing i got anywhere from 3-5 wrong with an 11 essay. It looks like i might end up with the same score as last time, which is bad for colleges. Should I just cancel this score and then take the test again in may or october?

You paid $47 and now you are going to cancel your scores just because you think you got a few points less than you expected? That’s ludicrous.

Don’t cancel your scores…with Score Choice you’ll get to see them before you send them anywhere anyway. And hey…you might surprise yourself.
