Seems a bit......

Anybody heard about or used these?

The Princeton Review | Bookstore | New Releases

"Cracking the First Grade" by PR

LOL, the pathway to the ivy league now starts in elementary school. what a joke

I thought it was all about getting into the right nursery school.

Nursery school's too late. If you don't start with music and language while still in the womb your kid's doomed.

No, no, no. You're all wrong. It's genetic engineering or nothing. ;)

I think those books are useful for many people. I know homeschoolers who want to make sure they are on track with their curriculum, along with many, many folks who are in public school districts where they are not confident that the curriculum is up to par for their kid to be where he should be. I remember one parent who was absolutely shocked when she found out that being in the 50th % of standardized tests is not good, but horrible in some districts. She transferred here to NY from an area that was unjustifiably proud of their schools and she is learning her child is behind. There are a number of books out there to help those of us who are not as savvy about what kids should know at what point and without a school system that is encompassing that info. It's better to know as you go along with a couple of books like that than to find out when your kid is applying to college.

for homeschoolers.....i never thought of that.
