Selecthing Which BS/MD Programs to Apply To?

Where can I get more information on which colleges and BS/MD programs that I should be applying to based on my scores/resume? I’m wondering if there’s a method or if I just post which programs I’m interested in and people on the forums here critique it?

Someone posted here about the free Premed HQ webinars, and the reason I’m asking is because they have another free one for selecting schools this Saturday. But shouldn’t there be resources already available on this forums on how to choose which schools/programs to apply to?

Here’s the webinar registration for anyone who’s in the same boat as me: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/9063164773647918852

Also, is the main criteria for selecting schools to look at their GPA and SAT averages? I would think there’s more to it than just my numbers.

@USNavyDoc2Be Take time andf go thru all the posts in existing threads like
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/multiple-degree-programs/1879830-official-thread-for-2017-bsmd-applicants.html#latest
also the 2016 thread. That will answer most of your questions.

Any free webinars or local programs can give very little info and will have a follow up sessions with hefty fees. You can get pretty much all the info fro internet and specifically this forum.

There is no simple answer to which program you are qualified or best fit. Besides GPA, Scores, EC and what and how you have done to validate / demonstrate your desire/passion to medicine and some luck are the key factors for selection. GL.

@USNavyDoc2Be, no single resource will be all encompassing when it comes Bachelor/MD programs although there might be some that are pretty close. There are websites (like this one), books, and even now companies that gear students to applying to Bachelor/MD programs. I don’t see how a webinar, which is pretty interactive in real time, would be a bad thing especially those with questions. It’s just one more resource to take advantage of (and it’s free!), assuming it’s done by actual credible people (and I have no evidence that it isn’t) who have maybe been in the business for a while or have themselves gone thru the process.
