Selecting Different Majors/Minors @ a different College

If you're accepted to CALS as a transfer applicant, can you major in one field in CAS and minor in one field in CALS?(e.g. chemistry major and bio minor)

If not, is the vice versa possible?

(I need to know the fact b/c if you're a CAS student, you have to study at cornell for 4 sem. but if you're a CALS student, you only need a min. of 2 yrs. of study.)

For more info, you will find here:

I'll be entering CAS. . . .and I know that you cannot double major in a subject taught by another college.

However, I know you can take courses from other colleges, and I'm not sure about minors.

uh????

aren't they the same thing? 4 semesters=2 years?

Sorry for the confusion. I actually meant 2 semesters, not 2 years.

okay...

it is to my understanding that if you are a CAS student, though you are allowed to take courses offered by other schools, you can only declare a major offered by CAS.
