Selecting major when applying

Hi- my child wants to study math in college, but she didn’t score very well on sat/act— 690/31 respectively. For the schools she is looking at, this is about at the 25% mark. She is at the 75% or higher for the other tested areas. I don’t think those scores reflects her ability - she is not having any issues in her physics, calc, or statistics classes, so I do think she could handle being a math major. That said, should she not list that major bc of those scores? Would undeclared look better?
Thanks for your input.

In general, she should indicate the major that she wants to study.
