<p>I wrote a slightly self-deprecating essay about my shortcomings and how my only hope of getting a job is if I go to NYU (the essay is specifically for NYU).</p>

<p>It's doesn't sound whiny at all, but it does sound a little like I'm a total hopeless idiot who probably won't do well there...</p>

<p>Is there anyone here who can take a minute or two to read it and tell me what they think?</p>
