self study ap env. sci or world history?

i've made my decision. i hated statistics in the community college, so NO way i'm gonna take the ap. So it's between Env. Sci. and world history. Which one do you recommend? i wanna make up for my Euro score

btw i'll be taking 5 ap's...

Considering that you did bad on Euro, are you sure that you can put up with World History?

Environmental history is pretty easy, from what I heard. I self studied APUSH and got a 5, so the history APs aren't that bad.

Having taken both exams, I feel that Environmental Science would be easier to make a better score on. World history covers an insane amount of material. Environmental Science, while still covering lots, may be a better subject to self-study for, although this is only my opinion. Consider your strengths. (BTW, I made a 3 on W. History and a 5 on Env. Sci.)

i got a 4 on euro cuz i had a rough day staying up all night. but i actually like history and i can absorb in material, whereas for env. sci, i dunno, isn't it about like ecology?

yes. a lot of ecology is covered. If you can absorb material, then the history route may be better for you.

omgg ecology= boring sh1t. would barrons suffice for ap world? and i'm good friends with the teacher so maybe he can help me out lol.

AP world is a lot about simply knowing the test (i.e. looking over past FRQs to see what will NOT be on the next year's essays, lol). It requires a good amount of study time but Barrons provides all that you a need (and a LOT more, trust me). However, PR has the hardest MC questions. Good luck!!

really? i always thot barrons was the hardest

APES isn't too bad. Not for an AP. Esp. not for a science. If you've taken AP Bio, APES's ecology portions will be extremely simple. (assuming you covered ecology in bio)

I mean, hey. I managed to study for 6 hours and get a 5. (Having not taken the class since January.) It can't be that hard. (As well as the fact that nearly 95% of the test's material was stuff I didn't cover in that 6 hours.)

world history definitely

APES doesnt look that great on your application, it's pretty much the easiest AP. if u have lots of time and you want to self study, self study world history, its much more interesting and rewarding.
also, u can self study both, that would be the best option. APES takes 5 hours to get a 5, if ur smart enough. oasis is an example, he self studied the day before the test and got a 5.

lol if you don't like ecology you would hate APES...

For World, Barrons AP is all you need for a 5. It's also all you need for an 800 on the SATII in World Hist (only offered in June and December).

do world history i've heard (but have no personal experience) that its easiest

would the fact that i took ap euro kinda help me out cuz i think i'm gonna

be getting a lott of mess from my other ap's

there are schools that allow frosh to take ap world

Wow, I'm slow in the morning, I didn't realize what APES was. lol. I read it like 6 times over, then realized, "Oh! AP environmental science"

ok then im leaning more to the apwh side now

wouldn't it be more worthwhile to do world history because colleges don't really care about env. sci?

World history is probably more impressive, but it is correspondingly harder. You could possibly study for world history and then just spend about a day studying for APES. APES is so easy, that if you have any knowledge of science at all, you should manage a 4 and with a few hours review, you can get that 5.

ooo... i dunno... i'll see how well i can manage my time during may aka

the hell month.
