Self-Studying AP Euro

Hey I was wondering if colleges like it when you self-study courses. My school offers most APs but not AP Euro which I wanted to take. First, I need world civ credit (which euro counts for) but does just taking the AP test count for the course credit? Also, how should I go about self studying it? And is it worth it (I would take the test my Junior year)?

Its not worth it

Collegs are places where you take courses and get grades on them in a classroom setting. HS are the same. So generally Colleges want to see you take courses and get grades…you could say that you are self-studying but how do they know? I suppose if you did it junior year and took the AP test and did well, that would be evidence.
You would have to ask your GC if taking the AP test would count for course credit. YOu should only take self study AP if you really love AP Euro and don’t care how it affects a college decision. Also see if you could get credit for AP Euro at your colleges of interest.
