My daughter is an exchange student in S. America. It's a "gap year" between her sophomore and junior year since it won't count. She is planning to self-study comp. gov, Spanish and maybe art history since she is attending an all Spanish language high school, scored a 4 on the U.S. govt test last year after self-studying, and is taking art history at school. She scored a 4 on WH last year (with a class) and a 5 after self-studying psych her freshman year. We found an American school in her host city that is willing to host her for the exams. Do you think she's crazy or just ambitious? I'm thinking the art history exam will be pretty difficult, similar to WH because it covers so much. What's your experience been with the art history exam? Also, Spanish is a new language for her since she previously studied French but she thinks she'll do okay on the AP exam because she will have been immersed in Spanish for 9 months before the exam. Does this sound doable? Has anyone taken APs while abroad?
