Self studying stats, any suggestions?

any suggestions on what book to use to self study for ap stats? thanks

The textbook by Moore and McCabe is excellent, and the review book by Barrons is good.

I took the online course with Apex learning (through the Illinois virtual high school). It really prepared me and was very comprehensive and had extremely representative unit tests and lots of multiple choice quizes. Plus, there was a ap prep unit at the end of the course that was really helpful.

You should consider taking it online rather than just self-studying it, because although you can easily get a 5 through either method, you’ll definitely get a more thorough understanding of statistics if you take the online course.

I am self-studying Stats and I am using the Practice of Statisitcs 3e. It’s really easy to follow up on because they get straight to the point and give great examples. But I have heard of people just using Barron’s and getting a 5. So I suggest you buy barrons and just search up some books on statistics at your library for supplementary information.

This has nothing to do with what you should do for stats. All I’m saying is that a lot of my friends told me it was a really easy course, so just in case you’re worried, a little reassurance. You’ll do well I’m sure!!!

is a textbook really necessary? i think you can do it all with a Barrons book

You can definitely get a 5 with the Barrons book, but you might want to get a supplemental textbook (maybe from a library, somewhere free) to understand the more theoretical stuff.

Try not to fall asleep. That’s the best way to do well on AP stats.

I slept through AP stats, didn’t understand/know anything. Bought Barron’s and learned everything. I was laughing my way to a 5 on the AP exam.

So I suspect you could learn it all from Barron’s, 'cause that’s what I did.

stats is easy c’mon
sorry

AP stats is definitely mind-numbingly easy. Oh how the tables turn if you ever take a real probability theory course. That stuff’s pretty hardcore.
