Semester in DC?

Hey, I posted this on the GWU forums but there doesn't seem to be alot of activity going on over there hehe.

I know this isn't technically a "transfer" question, but it kinda is, anyways:

I'm currently applying for the Semester in Washing Politics at GWU from a College in NJ (Just starting my 3rd semester) , to get some more hands on experience and hopefully an internship in D.C. that will help me towards my political science oriented career. I was just wondering if anyone had any "inside" info about the program.

ex. Is it worth it? Did any of you guys who took a semester there like/not like it?
I was also wondering how difficult/easy it is to get into (ie like GWU admissions? Are there alot of kids who apply? etc...) If it matters, I was accepted into GWU as a freshman but had to back out due my mother being diagnosed with Leukemia in the middle of senior year and money being really tight.

Any info is appreciated!

Thanks
