Semester Prior to Transfer: Got a 'W'

<p>Hey College Confidential Community,</p>

<p>I'm a community college student hoping to transfer Fall 2011.</p>

<p>Two days ago I withdrew from a night course at my community college due to personal issues going on in my life that kind of screwed up my studying habits. I realized that I couldn't handle the workload of these four courses at the time, so I withdrew from the one giving me the most trouble.</p>

<p>I applied to most of the UCs and was wondering: Do I have to contact every UC that I applied to about my 'W' and explain to them what happened? (Since the transfer application update period has already passed). The course I withdrew from was a prerequisite for two of the UCs only.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated!</p>

<p>You can still update your application using the app update. All the schools will still get it. It may make a difference if it is a prereq. If it isn’t, it likely won’t.</p>

<p>If it is a major prep class then it could be more of a problem than some random class. And yes, you have to contact all the schools as soon as possible, my friend had to do the same.</p>
