Thanks for the sarcasm, that’s really classy instead of just admitting you might have offended some people. And guess what, some of us dont spend all of our time sitting on CC all day racking up the posts and bragging about ourselves to random people on the internet.

You’re putting words into my mouth. I said it was purely objective, and did not emphasize subjective factors. I also retracted my immature rant on how more CCers deserved to get in compared to those who currently have. I also said the selection process was a computer formula that crunched self reported grades and extracurricular achievements. Whatever snark you read into my comments is your personal take but my skepticism is valid and factually sound.

Also, I edited my post with the publicized reason of “Removed rude comments toward those who were already selected.” How is my retraction not indicative of my acknowledgment that I offended people?

no offense taken. It’s just frustrating when communication from coca cola is inconsistent and I think everyone acknowledges that.
And no one really knows the process by which they choose the semi-finalists but by the choices they’ve made in the past I can see the students are well deserving and stellar.
peace to you all.

So…to change the topic (sort of), are the rest of notifications actually supposed to come out this week? I haven’t been able to find this information anywhere.

I, too, am a Californian who has not heard anything. However, I’m from Northern California. A friend of mine from SoCal found out she was a Semifinalist like a week ago.

no one has posted that they were rejected yet. Only what seems to bea small number of semi-finalists were notified that they were semifinalists last week. At least I think it was a small number for the CC population!

I’m from Oregon as well, and haven’t heard anything. But like one of the posters said, I really don’t care anymore haha. I was pretty “young” when I sent in the application, so my scores were a little lower than they’re now, and I had barely any experience with submitting scholarship information.
