I am a freshman starting in the Fall and I was thinking about joining the Seminole Boosters. Is it worth paying $25 for guaranteed football/basketball tickets this year? I know students normally get tickets for free but they are not always guaranteed and I want to make sure I am at every game! So, is it worth the 25 bucks or do students usually get tickets either way? Thanks!

YES YES YES. Do it. You do not have to use the lottery for a football ticket. You just print up your ticket and go. You get other perks. Previous years you got a t-shirt-but I don’t see it on the list now. You get discounts at merchants. 10% off at Bills Bookstore is the best.

The lottery for a football ticket only came into play a few times over the last few years. But this year, I see Miami, Oklahoma, and tickets for parent’s weekend and homecoming as likely needing to go to the lottery. I think it is worth it.

YES! Thanks for the info! I will definitely be joining very soon. I can’t wait for the games this year. It’s gonna be a blast! #1 recruiting football team! Thanks again!

Completely agree…join the Boosters. You establish your membership history and that means better seats over time.

Do you know what Student Alumni Association(SAA) is? Is it okay to join it?

SAA should be the first thing you join.

You get a pretty nice free shirt, which is always a plus.

You get 10 percent off on most items at the bookstore (INCLUDING TEXTBOOKS).

Membership costs 20 bucks per year (60 bucks for four years if you pay all up front). If you spend 200 dollars or more on your textbooks at the bookstore in a year, it pays for itself in the discount.

I am a part of Student Boosters and recommend it as well, but SAA has the greatest benefits.

But what do you really do by joining SAA? is it for the stuff you mentioned above?

I don’t really know what they do to be honest with you. I just join for the shirt and discount.

I think they have events and tailgates.
