Ok so here's the deal. I did slightly better on the ACT than the SAT, and in general I like the ACT a lot better. But I feel weird just submitting my ACT because I'm from Upstate New York and I'm applying to East Coast schools.

I plan on taking both tests again in the fall (when I'm a senior), but I am wondering which to send with the assumption that I don't improve (that way I can study more for one test than equally for both).

I have a different understanding. Since colleges currently don't look at the writing component to the SAT, the ACT score is clearly better (equivalent to apporximately 1300 on the SAT). Submit the ACT,

but is it really true that SATs and ACTs are looked down at the same way, with no one getting more favor? i relly hope so bcos ACt is much more easier and more reasonable than the SAT

i don't think the ACT is easier and i don't think colleges look at the SAT and ACT the same. they'll say they look at them the same, but when you see a 1480, you instantly have an idea of what that student is like.
w/ say a 33, it's a little bit harder in my opinion. 1pt difference on the ACT could be anywhere from 30-50pts on the SAT.
